Growing up and prior to discovering asana, Marisa was always a bit of a yogi at heart. Long before studying yogic philosophy she believed in the interconnectedness of all life and felt empowered to spread that knowledge. Her yoga journey was born from the desire to explore that connection while building a community and enabling consistency in her physical life. She began her asana practice in her teens after stumbling into a restorative yoga class at her local gym – she left that first class feeling as though she had found her place and has never looked back. Over the years since then she has become a dedicated student of Ashtanga, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Yin and restorative yoga.

Marisa’s classes are judgement free, creative, light hearted, sweaty and playful with a focus on anatomical alignment, mindful movement, and the fusion of mind and body through breath. She completed her 200 hour teacher training at Boston Yoga School under the guidance of Ame Wren, Brenna Matthews, Nicole Clark, Josh Summers, and many others. Learn more about Marisa at
