While pursuing a degree in Psychology at Boston University Emily began practicing Pilates regularly. It wasn’t until after she graduated, when a yoga instructor subbed for a gym pilates class, that she experienced her first yoga class. Needless to say, she fell in love. She began a regular home practice and the following year, in 2008, discovered Prana Power Yoga. She began as a Studio Assistant with PPY, volunteering in exchange for free yoga classes. She felt at home at the studio and their heated practice took her love for yoga to a whole new level. In 2010 Emily completed Prana Power Yoga’s 200 Hour Teacher Training and became a certified yoga teacher.
With a lifelong interest in pregnancy and birth, Emily went on to study prenatal yoga in 2011 and now holds an 85-hour RPYT certification. She teaches a number of classes in the Boston Area, primarily prenatal with some power, vinyasa, restorative and yoga nidra classes mixed in as well.
Yoga has transformed Emily’s life physically, emotionally, and spiritually and she feels honored to work with students and help guide them towards those types of changes as well. She enjoys challenging and nurturing her students, balancing an energetic flow with the opportunity to slow down and cultivate a mind-body connection. She is also a Reiki healer and trained Doula, supporting women in labor since 2012. Learn more about Emily at www.emilymasnoon.com.
